Generation Code 2020

Meet EU Code Week Ambassadors

Generation Code: Born at the Library is organised in partnership with EU Code Week but what is EU Code Week exactly?

EU Code Week is a grass-roots movement that celebrates creativity, problem solving and collaboration through programming and other tech activities. The idea is to make programming more visible, to show young, adults and elderly how you bring ideas to life with code, to demystify these skills and bring motivated people together to learn.

At the heart of EU Code Week is the community of volunteer activity organisers who are teachers, mentors, coding clubs, libraries, private companies, parents and non-governmental organisations. They dedicate their time, energy and skills to bring computational thinking, coding, robotics, tinkering with hardware, computer science and digital skills at large to as many people as possible in Europe and around the world.

For this webinar, we wanted you to be able to meet some of the many EU Code Week ambassadors, find out what they do and how you can get started with coding activities at the library!
